Physiotherapy and Massage
Our physiotherapy service is committed to the prevention, treatment and recovery of physical dysfunctions that one may suffer as a result of bad posture, various pains (both bone and muscle), tendon problems, etc., as well as problems resulting from physical activity or pathological origins.
Not every pain is related to an accident, injury or illness. At times, our body is incapable of properly dealing with everyday stress and compensates in ways that can result in cramps, tendonitis, etc.
Physiotherapy helps the body find its equilibrium to tensions so that the body can naturally heal itself. The tools of the physiotherapist are manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and the collaboration of the patient.
We´ll give you an evaluation and recommend guidelines for the most adequate workout. You may also receive treatment for problems in our consultation.
Massage
Whether to relax or energize, for sporting purposes or simply wind down, massage is the perfect complement for your training program.
Work out in a safe and healthy way!!
Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine is more than 3000 years old and involves working with our vital energy to achieve a balance with our body. This energy has two aspects: the force of the Ying (night, water, winter and cold) and the force of the Yang (day, fire, summer and heat). It is essential to maintain the two in equilibrium for the body to prevent illness and cure imbalances that harm our physical and mental health.
Some of the techniques we use:
- Acupuncture: This consists of placing very fine needles at specific points in the body. These points are distributed along meridians (channels running through the body that connect all organs) where vital energy flows.
- Tui-na: Chinese massage based on diverse techniques of pressure at acupuncture points: friction, kneading, manipulation and traction. It renders an excellent prognosis for physical rehabilitation.
- Moxibustion: This involves the application of heat at acupuncture points, generated by the combustion of sagebrush. This heat can be applied to the skin without actually touching it.
- Auriculotherapy: This treatment, of enormous therapeutic value, is a form of acupuncture at points of the outer ear, where various functions of our organs are connected.
Highly recommended for rheumatism, injuries, eating disorders, asthma, migraines, nervousness, addictions, allergies, stress, anxiety, to quit smoking, and a host of others.
